LOTR MtG Card Ideas...
Ideas for a LOTR set... will be updated as ideas come to me. (Check the previous entry for Anime card ideas that I've also been updating. You can look for it in my memories if you're too lazy to scroll down. :p)
Set "house rules":
horsemanship - can only be blocked by creatures with horsemanship, trample, or flying.
Imladris Legendary Land T: Add 1 to your mana pool. T: Prevent 1 damage to all non-artifact creatures you control this turn.
Moria Legendary Land Moria counts as a mountain. T: Add R to your mana pool. If there are no Balrogs in play, also add U to your mana pool.
Lothlorien Legendary Land Lothlorien counts as a forest. T: Add GG to your mana pool. T: All white and green creatures you control deal and receive no combat damage this turn.
Fangorn Forest Legendary Land T: Target green or white blocking creature becomes tapped and receive no damage this turn. It does not untap during your next untap phase. T: All Ents in play get +1/+1.
Paths of the Dead Legendary Land T: Add BB to your mana pool. As long as Paths of the Dead is tapped all non-black, non-artifact, non-Elf creatures you control get -0/-1. None of them may attack unless you have Aragorn in play.
The Anduin Land T: Add U to your mana pool. All blue creatures do not tap to attack this turn.
Call of the Dark Lord B Enchantment Bury Call of the Dark Lord if there are no swamps in play. T: Phase in target black creature
Charge of the Rohirrim WW Instant If there are plains in play, target player must attack with as many Rohirrim banded together as possible. Each Rohirrim banded this way gains trampling for the rest of the turn.
Ambush at Ithilien G Instant If target player has a forest in play, they must block with as many Rangers banded together as possible. Each Ranger banded this way gains flainking for the rest of the turn.
Sip of Miruvor U Instant You gain 1 life.
Phial of Earendil WWW Artifact T: Deal 2 damage to target black creature. T: Target non-artifact creature may not attack this turn.

Gandalf the Grey 1WWWW Summon Wizard Legend Protection from black. Only one card with "Gandalf" can be in play. Sacrifice Gandalf the Grey to bury target black creature with power or toughness over 4. WT: Take a non-black sorcery from your hand and put it into play. 3/3
Gandalf the White 3WWWW Summon Wizard Legend Protection from black. Only one card with "Gandalf" can be in play. Gandalf the White does +2 damage to black creatures in combat. T: Take a non-black sorcery from your hand and put it into play. 3/5

The Nazgul 1BBB Summon Wraith At any time you control no swamps, The Nazgul phases out. If a creature is damaged by The Nazgul during combat, it becomes a black Wraith in addition to its original color and type. This effect counts as an enchant creature spell. All creatures blocking or blocked by The Nazgul gete -2/-0 for the rest of the turn. Kicker: B (If you paid the kicker cost, Witchking of Angmar gains flying.) 3/2
