Fandom: Prince of Tennis
Rating: G
Word Count: 2532
Pairings: Inui/Kaidoh, Ann/Kamio/Kaidoh? (*snerk*)

Summary: Kamio spazzes. Momo doesn't help. Ann matchmakes. Inui gets déjà vu. Kaidoh is just confused.

Timeline: Takes place in Inui's 1st year of high school and Kaidoh's 3rd year in junior high. Mid-September-ish, after the Nationals.

It's the Love Square episode, revisited! ...sorta. )

PoT fic: That Time of Month (parts 1 & 2)

Title: That Time of Month (parts 1 & 2)
Series: None (though later parts may cross over into the Psidai series)
Fandom: Prince of Tennis
Rating: PG
Pairing: Golden Pair
Genre: Crack and humor
Word Count: 517, 909

Edit: This fic is dedicated to the Golden Pair, whose teamup has been terminated (slaughtered, torn apart, ripped asunder, walked over, defiled...) by Konomi in the PoT manga. T_T (4/22 Update: On receiving further information about the manga, the jury is still out on what's going on between Eiji and Oishi. There are indications of the possibility that Eiji is just having a lover's spat about Oishi not telling him about the full extent of his injuries. So I'm going to reserve judgment until things are explained to my satisfaction.)

One year ago, in a certain time of the month... )

Translations:
Tadaima = I'm home
Oniisan = Older brother
Otouto = Little brother

Author's Notes:
This came about from more post-dinner crack discussed between me and [info]cashew.

I'm going to have to scrap or change the part with Fudomine though. After looking up the bio's, it seems that both Shinji and Kamio have older sister(s), so they can't be clueless with Ann. I guess I'll figure something out. Also, regarding Hyotei, it seems that neither Shishido nor Ohtori have sisters. Mukahi and Oshitari, on the other hand, do. Ah well.

Disclaimer: Prince of Tennis and all associated characters belong to Konomi-sensei. Midol doesn't belong to me either. Don't sue me over this. It ain't worth it.

Psidai: Kanto Semifinals - Seigaku vs Rikkai

Title: Toil and Trouble - A Kanto Semifinals Story
Series: Psidai AU
Fandom: Prince of Tennis
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1870
Pairings: Inui/Yanagi, Golden Pair, Sanada/Yukimura, InuKai
Warnings: OOC-ness, bit of Rikkai-bashing

Timeline: Takes place in high school with the same lineups as current continuity in junior high.

Summary: It’s Seigaku versus Rikkai at the Kanto semifinals. Yanagi, being on alternate, had found himself with free time on his hands. Unfortunately, he picked the wrong hobby to pick up with that time.

Disclaimer: Prince of Tennis and all associated characters belong to Konomi-sensei, not me.

A Kanto Semifinals Story: Seigaku vs Rikkai )

Author’s Notes: Damn plot bunnies. I know [info]cashew wanted to get Sanada poisoned, but I figured the better way to torture Sanada was to have Yukimura be the one conked out by the juice. Plus Yukimura hasn’t really suffered in any of our ideas/plans, has he? What better way than have him go out the Fuji way? ^_^

It also took me a while to decide whether to put Yanagi with Marui on Doubles 2, ‘cause if he were then I’d have wanted Yanagi to win his rematch against Inui, even if it’s in doubles. But then, I also wanted InuKai to win a doubles match too. So in the end, I decided to just use the vanilla Rikkai D2 pair. And for those who want to know, S2 and S1 were Kirihara and Sanada vs Fuji and Tezuka, respectively. So it’s not like Seigaku wasn’t going to win anyhow. But I didn’t want to waste space with matches I didn’t care about, so I guess Seigaku gets to sweep this 3-0. Poor Rikkai. I’d almost feel sorry for them… almost.

After like 3 different names, I'm currently settling on "Toil and Trouble", from the Shakespeare line from MacBeth ("Double, double, toil and trouble / Fire burn and cauldron bubble").

Betsu ni = Nothing

Addendum: Edited for grammar

Tenipuri sort-of recs

Missed Calculations - a 7 chapter InuKai lemon fic. It's unfinished and looks like it's been abandoned, but there wasn't much plot as much as PWP in it anyhow, so that doesn't matter. I'm not recommending it for the content quality, since there's quite a bit of OOC and cliches in it, not to mention continuity holes the size of a hakugei. But it does have like 3 NC-17 scenes in it. So I guess I just read it for the absolutely no-content PWP-ness. :p

And on a similar vein is the series by figbash, though it's got some borderline non-con, some angst, and hints of... Kaidohcest? Eh, I'm only reading it for the InuKai smut, so whatever.

seigakutennis is a RP community. Some of the member journals are funny as hell and really do sound quite IC. Love Inui's (696e756900 in hex) dorky data analysis stuff on his journal. Also loved the Momo-Kaidoh flamewars *snerk* and the whole Mizuki stalking Kaidoh thing and Inui getting possessive which was eventually resolved via Inui Juice roulette.

Warnings: OOC-ness, bit of Rikkai-bashing

Timeline: Takes place during the nationals in Atobe, Sanada, & Tezuka's 3rd year of high school.

Notes: This fic can be a standalone, but it's better to have read Part 1 first.

Inui’s glasses are missing. Kaidoh helps out his senpai. )

Author’s Notes:
This fic is primarily inspired by the chibi-episode where Inui’s glasses went missing. I remember when I saw the episode at the time that I suspected Karupin at first, since the sneaky cat was lurking around the fountain when Inui realized his glasses were gone. Of course, since I like my InuKai, the story is written with only the two characters in mind, and with less crackiness than you’d find in a chibi-ep.

The title is inspired by a cool line from Highlander: the Series, where Methos snarks to Duncan or Joe to the effect of “talk about the blind leading the visually challenged.”

Warnings: OOC-ness, Crack

Summary/Notes: Instead of facing Jousei Shounen in junior high (anime continuity), Seigaku faced Midoriyama in the Kantou tournament (manga continuity). Now in high school, the same Seigaku lineup (with the addition of Tezuka) faces the same Jousei Shounen of anime in the match for the Kantou top four. Speed Serves

So apparently, after re-watching the relevant scenes in anime:

The speed of the Scud Serve is at least 200 km/hr.

The speed of Kajimoto's serve is 195 km/hr.

The speed of sound is actually about 345 m/sec, which is 1242 km/hr.

So in Psidai continuity, by the time of the nationals in his second year in high school, Ohtori has upped his serve speed by over 1000 km/hr?

Wow. That is some powerup.

However, I'm thinking that for *that* kind of speed, you gotta have to sacrifice some power for it.

(Also, I no longer feel any guilt in letting Kaidoh keep his Hadoukyuu Boomerang. After all, there's not nearly as much room for him to visibly improve in the stamina area, so that just leaves strength, which is after all another consequence of his rigorous workout routine.)

Psidai: A Rooming Guide

There's been some confusion about who is rooming where in which year at Psidai lately. So I thought I'd just map everything out for reference purposes.

Psidai: Another training camp idea

This doesn't have anthing to do with the training camp idea we've already come up with earlier on. It takes place in the last year of high school and mainly centers in on Tezuka and Atobe being the true buchou-tachi that they are. Cashew and I came up with a lot of detailed scenes/dialogue of how much of it would go, but my memory isn't really up to recalling it all at this hour of the day. So I'm just going to put up the general outline and hope that later on we'll be able to work everything out again from the outline.

Tenipuri stuff

For cashew: TezuFuji cuteness

There's more on this site. (Some sections aren't complete, but look under the Bromide/TCG lists and the calender scans under downloads.)

I found the school stats section interesting. Segaku has 1400+ people, 700+ boys and girls. Hytoei has 1600+ students but a larger guy-girl ratio (1000+ guys). Interesting how that somehow accounts for the extra 200 or so members on their tennis team though, ne?

Fudomine is definitely still the dark horse with only 500+ students and ~280+ boys. Makes it so much more of a work of fate that you have as many good players as they did this "current" year, ne? As well, St. Rudolph, Rokkaku, and Yamabuki are about in the same boat as Fudomine. Maybe it just comes from being public schools instead of private... which is kinda odd 'cause in the US you have way more students in public school than private. I guess it's the opposite in Japan, huh?

Rikkai, though, has 2600+ students, with 1500+ boys. Dunno about its tennis club size, since that's not always proportional to the population size as per the above.

Psidai - Conclusion

Title: Conclusion
Series: Psidai AU, part 4 of the InuKai sequence.
Fandom: Prince of Tennis
Rating: G
Word Count: 2632
Pairings: Inui/Kaidoh, and slight hints of TezuFuji and MomoRyo if you squinted really, really hard.

Summary: Kaidoh has one of those days. Inui finally gets a clue. (And since when did random body parts start taking over the brain's job at decision-making?)

Timeline: Takes place in late winter/early spring with Inui still in the third year and Kaidoh in the second year of junior high.

Conclusion )

Notes: Wow, this thing is loooooong. It practically took me all day to finish it. But, I'm happy that I'm able to incoporate at least two of my plot bunnies into the story. One is the whole "Kaidoh stalking Inui" idea that was inspired by my new InuKai icon. The other was cashew's wish to see some character fall into a thistle bush and suffer just like she did.

Well, I guess Kaidoh didn't suffer all *that* much from the thistle bush. Actually, at first I'd planned on Inui being the one to fall in. But things just didn't work out that way, and all the bad luck in the fic seemed to have been attracted towards Kaidoh instead. Poor woobie!! I feel almost guilty with my Kaidoh-torture. T_T

But don't worry, Kaidoh! I'll make it up to you. Or... I'll make Inui make it up to you. Wait...

Inui: *chuckle*

WAAAAH! I'm trying to keep this all rated G, you know!

Inui: *glasses glint evilly*

Uh-oh... O.o
